Ellen Degeneres Debuts On American Idol
February 10, 2010 | Leave a Comment
Last night’s episode of American Idol featured funny girl Ellen Degeneres and she was in rare form. The show opened up with Ryan Seacrest talking to Ellen about appearing on the show and what kind of Judge she would be, possibly being the only one that would actually take on Simon. Ellen was nodding like she was agreeing with Ryan and when he asked her if that was her plan, in her deadpan style she quipped, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t listening.” That’s classic Ellen.
Ellen also took on the self focused Skibowski who was frankly just plain weird. Her comments on his Hollywood Week singing efforts, were that she felt like she was being stalked as Skibowski was singing and that, “sexy and scary is a fine line.” Then the dude wouldn’t leave the stage after he was cut from his group of 8. He wanted to know what it was that kept him from going through.
I just never understand people like that. After watching American Idol for 7 or 8 out of the 9 seasons it has been on, it is painfully evident that the cocky people never make it very far. If you want to make it on Idol, you have to cut the self assured, prideful crap and just mellow out a little bit. But people who have that cocky attitude just never get it. You blew it dude.
All the episodes from now on out will feature Ellen Degeneres as Paula Abdul’s replacement and should be pretty funny to watch. Last night Ellen even did a little Paula hand clapping impersonation when Andrew Garcia rocked us with his own version of Paula’s Straight Up. Andrew dude, as Paris Hilton would say, “That’s hot!” Andrew could definitely win the whole show.
Stay tuned for tonight’s episode of American Idol with the group singing and more antics from Ellen Degeneres.

Who Is The Better Idol Judge, Paula Or Ellen Dengeneres?
February 9, 2010 | Leave a Comment
Tonight we will see the debut of the new American Idol judge, mid day talk show host Ellen Degeneres. Of course everyone knows she replaced Paula Abdul who left the show because of supposed contract disputes. However, with Ellen’s infectious sense of humor, tonight’s episode of Idol will probably not disappoint.
Even though Ellen will be a great addition to the Idol team, many people will most definitely be missing Paula since she was liked by so many people and was always the most gracious judge on the show. Paula always had a kind comment for even the saddest talent either auditioning or during the live part of the she had constructive criticism for poor performers and managed to deliver it in a most gracious way.
Who Is Your Favorite American Idol Judge, Ellen or Paula?
While Ellen will bring her humor to the show, some are wondering if she has the musical knowledge to be sitting in the seat of Paula who has been in the music industry for a couple of decades, has had 6 number one hits, has been a very successful dance choreographer, has been in some cheesy movies (as has Ellen) and has won several awards including, Emmys, a Grammy and more. Paula has a wealth of musical talent and awards to back it up, while Ellen is just funny and is known for making the everyday observations about people humorous.
While Ellen obviously has good observation skills, Paula has the musical experience and ability to be a good judge of the talent of people trying to win the Idol competition. So, the question is, who would you vote for as a better judge on American Idol?

Katy Perry Gets Sassy On American Idol
January 27, 2010 | Leave a Comment
OMG, if you watched American Idol last night, you got to see the true hagginess of guest judge Katy Perry. It seemed like just about everything Kara DioGuardi had to say about an audition, little miss Katy had to add her 2 cents worth. Frankly it was a bit annoying. While there’s nothing wrong with stating your own opinion, Katy was acting like she was running the show.
Whatever the deal was with Katy, she was being a huge pain and seemd to have a major attitude problem. So much for guest judges. It’s amazing what a little quick fame will do for someone.
Tonight American Idol will be featuring the Dallas auditions and last night’s auditions were from Los Angeles. I missed most of the show, but another guest judge was Avril Lavigne who, as some crazy contestents do, dressed up for her appearance in a devil costume. Oh, isn’t that cute, let’s just see how sassy we can be. Now that the immature little brat guest judges have come and gone, hopefully we will have a little more mature judging tonight.
Also want to point out that it was Ellen DeGegeneres’ birthday yesterday January 26th and that she will be finally appearing on the show I think it’s next week. The rumore is that her and Simon didn’t hit it off too well because she was all excited about judging and bad boy Simon as 1.5 hours late at Ellen’s first taping of the show. Ellen is crazy funny, so it will be interesteing to see who this all turns out.
Don’t forget to watch the show tonight at 8pm followed by that gas bag of a president we have giving his State of the Union speech at 9:00 pm. Won’t that be fun? I’m not sure what will be more entertaining tonight, American Idion season 9 auditions or lies from Barack Obama as he puts on his show.
