Ellen DeGeneres American Idol
September 10, 2009 | 1 Comment
Guess who’s going to replace Paula Abdul as the next judge on American Idol, it going to be none other than talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen will now join the other Idoljudges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi in the auditions beginning soon and of course will judge contestants during their performances on stage once the top 20 are chosen.
Paula Abdul will certainly be missed as her charm and kindness to potential Idols made her the most liked judge, but then again Ellen DeGeneres will bring her infectious humor to the show and make it quite comedic. I can imagine Ellen will have some very funny things to say to those that audition for the show and are thinking they are good when everyone knows they really aren’t.
My wife and I have always thought Ellen was insanely funny and I’m sure she will be a great addition to American Idol. Reportedly Ellen is a huge fan of the show and claims to watch every episode.
I’m not quite sure how Ellen is going to do her show and American Idol at the same time. I guess she’s going to be pretty busy. Let us know here at the American Idol blog if you are as excited about Ellen being the new judge on American Idol as we are.

after many years of glueing myself to all American Idol programing, I after hearing that Ellen would be taking a chair on the judges panel no longer want to be involved with what was my can’t wait and see the next show too, thats enough, in a talent compitition such as this the judges should always have some form of the compitition in there back ground as experiance for best comentary and this has been thrown out the window with American Idol bringing Ellen to the show, why not just put Martha Stewart in the same chair, DAAAAAAA best of luck to this program from here on out.
sorry and I will miss the old days
