Well, I finally got one of my American Idol predictions right. Haley Scarnato is going home. I guess when the numbers keep dwindling down, the chances of having a prediction come true, increases. Not that I’m that gleeful that Haley is going home, I was beginning to like her. Unfortunately, Haley just didn’t have the singing talent to keep her around much longer.

I also think that regardless of the voting power of EcoQuest International dealers, Phil Stacey’s days are numbered as well and we will probably see him go next week. But, I do have to say that Phil has a pretty good attitude about the whole thing. At this stage of the game, all of the contestants are very blessed to have made it this far out of the tens of thousands of people that tried out for the show.

It does seem like the judges critiques have a lot to do with how people vote. I don’t think that Haley was all that bad last night. In fact, I think it was one of her better performances. However, none of the judges really liked it all that much.

Then there is the Sanjaya Malakar phenom. Sanjaya continues to inch closer and closer to the eventual American Idol crown as he wasn’t even in the bottom three contestants this week. It’s looking like he just might steal the show as I predicted a few posts ago.

Get used to it America. Sanjaya Malakar is going to be the next American Idol.
