Sanjaya Malakar's Pony Hawk Hair Every week now on American Idol the big thing seems to be, what will Sanjaya Malakar do with his hair? This week as you can see from the picture and were probably a little freaked about last night, Sanjaya decided to sport a ponyhawk. Now, is it his hair all the 10-year-old girls are voting for or is it his talent? I think it’s the freakin’ hair.

Is Sanjaya a brilliant marketer and is he actually coming up with these bizarre ideas to make all of us go, WTF and vote for him because he’s so weird. His pony-hawk hair style last night while singing Gwen Stefani and No Doubt’s Bathwater was certainly edgy enough to garner him thousands of votes and keep him in the top contenders for the final round.
