American Idol Guys Underwhelmed Tonight

I don’t know what it is about the guys on American Idol this season, but they are just kind of boring. And tonight was very indicative of that, it was just plain lame tonight. Randy, Paula and Simon were ultimately responsible for putting the guys they thought were the best, up for a vote. If it wouldn’t have been for Blake Lewis and Chris Sligh it would have been a waste of an hour to sit through their performances.
Here’s how the guys stacked up tonight:
Blake Lewis - This guy can really sing! I’m not sure of the name of the song but it was hot and Blake got a thumbs up from all three judges. He is incredibly entertaining.
Sanjaya Malakar - Sanjaya had such promise, but I don’t know what happened. He looks like he is totally out of place up there on the stage. He just doesn’t have that spark the winner needs and I think it’s time for him to go.
Sundance Head - I like Pearl Jam because the lead singer could scream, in key. I don’t believe Sundance did that tonight.
Chris Richardson - I don’t think Chris does country that well. He still sounds like a boy band member singing country. It just didn’t work for me.
Jared Cotter - His rendition of If You Really Love Me by Stevie Wonder came across as a good performance at a wedding reception, but not worthy of American Idol. I think Jared needs to change his style. He had the same look he had last week.
Brandon Rogers - His rendition of I Just Want To Celebrate was worthy of a backup singer and throughout the competition Brandon keeps proving that’s what he deserves, to be a backup singer.
Phil Stacey - Phil screamed his way through his song tonight and he just looked weird as well. He had a totally mismatched outfit this evening that didn’t work, along with his singing.
Chris Sligh - Thank God for Chris or the evening would have been a waste of time. He definitely put on the best performance of the night.
Okay guys, you have to be better than what we just heard this evening or all but 2 of you will be going home very soon. If it weren’t for Blake Lewis and Chris Sligh I would have been bored stiff. In fact there really isn’t any reason to keep any one other than these two guys around for any longer.
Where are the guys we love who had personality and that special something that was Idol worthy like Elliott Yamin and Bo Bice? This season is shaping up to be pretty pathetic for the guys.
Let’s hope the ladies do much better tomorrow evening.

tonite i was embarrassed for AI…..puuuleeeese….the 3 judges voted these guys on the show. except for blake and chris sligh….who weren’t at their best, ALL the rest of these guys can go home….i almost fell asleep!!!!! keep this up, and you will lose me…..
