Prediction - Sanjaya Malakar Will Win American Idol
March 29, 2007 | 3 Comments
As everyone is beginning to see, this is turning out to be the strangest season of American Idol yet. The truly talented singers like Baylie Brown don’t even make it on the show and singers like Sabrina Sloan, Rudy Cardenas and Chris Sligh get voted off when we had yet to see them at their full potential. The dismissal of Sabrina Sloan before the top 12 was pure insanity!
But the biggest news of all seems to be the incredible support, or delusion, behind Sanjaya Malakar. With fan sites popping up all over the place and VoteForTheWorst.com and Howard Stern lending their support to the boy with the hair, Sanjaya just might pull off the biggest upset in American Idol history and walk away with the title.
In fact, my prediction is that he actually will win. Yes, I know I’ve been wrong on every single one of my predictions so far. Actually, I did make a prediction back on January 18th after his audition that Sanjaya would make it into the top 3. But that was back when I thought the guy could really sing. Sanjaya can sing, but he sure isn’t showing it. It seems like he’s playing a game to see how weird he can get with his hair, instead of singing.
Anyway, when Sanjaya wins, it will turn American Idol on its head and they might have to adjust the voting system so you can only vote maybe 5 times per phone number. You know there are probably people out there voting hundreds of times, and armies of people voting hundreds of times. How do you explain the fact the Phil Stacey is still on the show? He has an army of EcoQuest Dealers voting for him by the thousands.
But Sanjaya has so much popularity now, everyone that cares anything about Idol is looking for information about him. He has is one of the top most searched terms on Yahoo, Google and Technorati and as more people discover VoteForTheWorst.com he is sure to garner more votes.
This prediction just might come true and Sanjaya Malakar will be our next American Idol. Imagine that!

Chris Sligh Eliminated From American Idol
March 28, 2007 | 2 Comments
Well, I have to say I’m pretty bummed out about this evening’s American Idol. Chris Sligh was eliminated from the popular show tonight after being in the bottom three with Phil Stacey and Haley Scarnato. It was no surprise that the hair guy Sanjaya Malakar made it through to another round.
Ryan Seacrest even got in on the Sanjaya hair thing with a pony-hawk of his own to start the show off with.
I’d have to say I’m pretty surprised about Chris Sligh getting voted off American Idol tonight. No, Chris is not the most talented guy on the show and I really didn’t think he would win, but he can sing and he has way more personality than either Haley Scarnato or Phil Stacey.
Let’s just face reality here people, this is not a talent show! Haley Scarnato is still on American Idol because she is good looking and Phil Stacey is on the show because he has an army of EcoQuest Dealers voting for him. And when we look at Sanjaya Malakar, nothing makes sense anymore.
Once again my prediction was wrong as I had picked Haley Scarnato to go home tonight and it turned out to be Chris. How stupid of me to make another prediction, but I’m going to. This is a freaky American Idol season, no doubt, and I’m not talking about the group. It is going to get weirder as we get closer to the final round and unfortunately I don’t think the true talent this year is going to win…
My newest American Idol prediction is that Sanjaya Malakar will win. Get ready America, it’s going to happen.
By the way, Gwen Stefani was the musical guest tonight and sang a new song from her upcoming tour.

Will Sanjaya And His Hair Get Voted Off American Idol?
March 28, 2007 | 1 Comment
Every week now on American Idol the big thing seems to be, what will Sanjaya Malakar do with his hair? This week as you can see from the picture and were probably a little freaked about last night, Sanjaya decided to sport a ponyhawk. Now, is it his hair all the 10-year-old girls are voting for or is it his talent? I think it’s the freakin’ hair.
Is Sanjaya a brilliant marketer and is he actually coming up with these bizarre ideas to make all of us go, WTF and vote for him because he’s so weird. His pony-hawk hair style last night while singing Gwen Stefani and No Doubt’s Bathwater was certainly edgy enough to garner him thousands of votes and keep him in the top contenders for the final round.
Do you think Sanjaya has a chance at all of leaving the show this evening or do you think with VoteForTheWorst.com and an army of teeny boppers and more bizarre hair stunts up his sleeve, he is destined to win American Idol?
It would be quite a freak show if Sanjaya Malakar actually won American Idol, wouldn’t it. Every week he gets closer and closer.
Tune in at 9:00 pm tonight and witness the continuation of an unexpected and truly weird American Idol Season 6.
Is Gwen Stafani supposed to sing tonight?

Gwen Stefani And American Idol Top 10
March 27, 2007 | 2 Comments
Gwen Stefani was the coach tonight for the American Idol top 10 and although I like No Doubt, I’m not sure Gwen has quite the years of experience some of the other advice givers have had in the past.
Ms Stefani surprised me because she acts totally different then you would think after seeing some of her videos. She seems like a kind of mellow chick compared to the crazed spastic dancing she displays as a performer. And she has thin lips too? What’s up with that? I guess she wears lots of makeup in her pictures and videos.
But, this blog isn’t about Gwen, it’s about the American Idol contestants!
Here’s how the Idols put the show together tonight:
Lakisha Jones - Lakisha sang Donna Summers Let’s Dance and it was just okay for me. Don’t get me wrong, Lakisha will be in the top 3, but I don’t think this was her best choice in a song, but the judges liked her.
Chris Sligh - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic was Chris’ choice for a song and it was kind of scary. Chris has a little trouble with the timing of songs. He seemed to be ahead of the beat most of the song and it was quite noticeable for Randy and Simon thought it was a mess. Chris can do much better.
Gina Glocksen - I think the name of her song was I’ll Stand By You and it sounded great! I like Gina because she just has that extra quality that makes for a stand-out from-the-crowd singer. I like her because she is different and she might surprise us and end up in the final.
Sanjaya Malakar - Could the guy get freakier with the hair thing? Sanjaya, dude, let’s get back to reality and just forget about the ponyhawk. His performance tonight will really make the teeny boppers vote for him for sure. No wonder Sanjaya is still on the show, he has an army of millions of 10-year-old girls voting for him.
Haley Scarnato - Cyndi Lauper’s tune True Colors was Haley’s choice and I didn’t think it was all that good. She showed us, finally, last week that she can sing, but this week was kind of a let down. I’m not sure she will make it through this one.
Phil Stacey - I haven’t been to kind to Phil because of his army of voters from the air purifier company of EcoQuest International, but I think Phil really did great this week. He sounded very close to another Sting with his rendition of Every Breath You Take. Way to go Phil! It was his best performance so far.
Melinda Doolittle - Melinda is the consummate professional. I might have already said that in a previous post, but I just can’t find words to describe how good Melinda really is. She give life to every song she sings with every gesture she makes. Wow!
Blake Lewis - Home Again was Blake’s choice for a song tonight and I didn’t think it was all that great compared to what we’ve heard from him so far. But, who am I, just some weenie writing the American Idol News.
Jordin Sparks - Hey Baby, is that the name of the song? It was a weird song for Jordin because it’s a hard song to do. But the judges liked her originality and ability to take risks and have them work out.
Chris Richardson - Don’t Speak is my favorite No Doubt song and I think Chris could have done a much better job. I just listened to it 10 times in a row while writing this post and it sure didn’t sound like No Doubt. The song rocks and Chris did it in his typical Boy Band style which didn’t do it justice for me.
Well, there you have the top 10 for American Idol. One will have to go home tomorrow night and my prediction is that it will be…Haley Scarnato. Of course I’m always wrong so it won’t really be her.
Who knows? Watch tomorrow and find out.

American Idol Spoiler Songs For Tomorrow 3-27
March 26, 2007 | Leave a Comment
I read a post over at Faridwidjaya.com where they claim to have the songs that will be sung on American Idol tomorrow night. I don’t have a clue as to how one would get such information, but I thought I’d at least post it to see if it’s for real.
If this information comes from an Idol contestant, that is grounds for dismissal from the show. The contestants are bound by a non disclosure agreement.
Here’s the songs:
Blake Lewis - Love Song
Chris Richardson - Don’t Speak - I love this No Doubt song, but I can’t imagine Chris singing it
Chris Sligh - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - great Police tune!
Gina Glocksen - Pretenders ballad
Haley Scarnato - True Colors
Jordin Sparks - Hey Baby
Lakisha Jones - Donna Summers song
Melinda Doolittle - Donna Summers song
Phil Stacey - Every Breath You Take
Sanjaya Malakar - Bathwater - This is kind of a weird song for a guy to sing
I’m thinking it’s probably time for Sanjaya or Phil Stacey to go home this week. I think a lot of people are getting tired of the both of them.
Tune in tomorrow and Wednesday.

You may have seen tons of web sites offering so-called American Idol ringtones but it seems that the only legit ringtones that are coming from American Idol this season are available only on the American Idol website itself. All these other deals you see to download Idol ringtones are just to get you to sign up and pay $10 per month then you find out they don’t really offer any ringtones from this year’s contestants or any other contestants.
If you have noticed also while watching Idol there are a couple of pretty cool commercials from Cingular featuring the Blackjack PDA cell phone and a couple of hands dealing multiple phones. One of the phones is the Blackjack I607 PDA smartphone and the other is the Samsung SYNC SGH A707 cell phone. If you get either of these phones you can download real American Idol ringtones 24 hours after they are made from the Idol contestants, live from the show.
With either of these phones you can also get real American Idol videos of the current contestants and some of your favorite audition videos. You have to have a 3G network Cingular cell phone or PDA. Now were talking about stuff here that I have no idea what the heck it all means because I have an old brick for a cell phone. I will upgrade one of these days and get out of the stone age.
The SYNC SGH A707 phone features a 2 mp camera, Bluetooth wireless, Music Tone Ringtones and a bunch of other features that you will probably never use and the Blackjack I607 PDA offers Microsoft® Windows Mobile 5.0 Edition, Windows Media Player® 10 Mobile, a 1.3 mp camera, a loudspeaker and microphone, a full html browser and a lot more junk you will probably never use, but hey, at least you can watch all the videos and get all the real ringtones from American Idol and get your fix every day.
Some of the ringtones that are available on the Cingular web site are:
Sanjaya Malakar - Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
Chris Sligh - Endless Love
Lakisha Jones - God Bless the Child
Jordin Sparks - Heartbreaker
Phil Stacey - I’m Gonna Make You Love Me
Gina Glocksen - Love Child
Stephanie Edwards - Love Hangover
Haley Scarnato - Missing You
Chris Richardson - The Boss
Brandon Rogers - You Can’t Hurry Love
Blake Lewis - You Keep Me Hanging On
If you want one of these phones mentioned above or just want to get more info on them, you can get either by clicking below.

What A Crock! American Idol Phil Stacey Wasn’t In The Bottom 3
March 21, 2007 | 4 Comments
I guess the large MLM network of EcoQuest dealers helped push Phil Stacey to an undeserved position on American Idol as he has made it into the top 10 as announced tonight on the results show. Another equal shocker was that Sanjaya Malakar also was not in the bottom 3 contestants tonight.
Once again my Idol prediction was wrong as I picked Phil Stacey to go home and it turned out to be Stephanie Edwards that got the boot on tonight’s show. It is sad that the show has become more of a popularity contest rather than a talent contest and Idol hopefuls are getting the blessings of being on the show when their talent isn’t what got them this far.
Read an excerpt from an email I received from EcoQuest International asking its dealers to vote for Phil:
Please help us get word out - VOTE PHIL AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN this Tuesday night, March 20TH!
Phil’s family is asking you to be a SUPER RECRUITER- tell everyone to VOTE PHIL! Please show him support in any way, place, venue available! He is a tremendous husband and father, and would make a great role model for the youth of today. Watch, listen, and vote for Phil!
Now EcoQuest International may be able to muster up some 50,000 or more distributors. Now just imagine all 50,000 voting several times 10, 20, 30 times, that’s a lot of extra undeserved votes. Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against Phil Stacey as a person, he just isn’t the most talented guy in the top 11 which is now the top 10. It should be talent that brings the contestants to the top, not an army of voters!
Anyway, there you have it. Stephanie Edwards goes home when it should have been Phil Stacey or Sanjaya Malakar that got the boot. Hopefully and eventually the most TALENTED person will win…
And that would be Melinda Doolittle!

Phil Stacey Gets The Boot Tonight On American Idol
March 21, 2007 | Leave a Comment
That’s going to be the headline on thousands of blogs starting tonight at 9:31 pm when we find out that American Idol contestant Phil Stacey gets voted of the island, or rather, the stage.
I’m going to try not to be too harsh here with ya Phil, but I’m going to be real. Everyone else was a totally different person last night on American Idol, except for maybe Chris Sligh, but he doesn’t have to be because he has good, raw talent. But you were the same old Phil last night, nothing new, same screaming stressed out voice, really pushing it on those high notes. Also, you just look uncomfortable on stage, sort of like you shouldn’t be there.
Oh, and I’m kind of not happy with the emails from EcoQuest International trying to get all the EcoQuest dealers to vote for you. Dude, what if there are, and there are, people more talented than you and you get a bunch of people to vote for you just because you have a connection to a company that sells air purifiers? Is that right? I think not!
What should matter is the talent, not the connections.
While you do have talent Phil, don’t get me wrong, it’s just not up to the standard we expect from the contestants we see on American Idol and frankly I’m not quite sure why the put you through to the top 24 in the first place. Sorry dude, I think the votes are in and you will have to go home.
Here’s what Phil Stacey has sung so far since being in the top 24:
Tobacco Road
I’m Gonna Make You Love Me
I Need You
Missing You
I Could Not Ask For More
Not bad Phil, but you are going home.

American Idol British Invasion With Lulu & Peter Noone
March 20, 2007 | 3 Comments
Is this a different show? Are we in an alternate universe? Did aliens come to earth and replace Haley Scarnato with someone else? I can’t believe the difference in American Idol tonight. It was completely amazing and so much better than the last few weeks that I just might continue to watch the show until the end of the season.
Frankly I thought this season was becoming so boring that I was wondering if Idol would continue into next year or if this would be it. After Peter Noone and Lulu brought their coaching and vocal talents to the British Invasion theme of the show tonight almost everyone is back in the competition, even Sanjaya Malakar.
Here’s how American Idol and the contestants unfolded tonight:
Haley Scarnato - Wow, Haley can sing! I’ve been unimpressed with Haley from the start, but tonight it was as if she were a different person. Her rendition of Tell Him by Billy Davis was impressive. Haley is back in the competition.
Chris Richardson - The boy band king sang the perfect song for himself tonight. Chris’ rendition of Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying was miles better than last week and after the second good performance of the night, it was obvious it was going to be a different show.
Stephanie Edwards - Stephanie was okay on You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me by Dusty Springfield. I think she has talent, but it just doesn’t seem to have developed to quite the level of some of the other contestants. It also seemed as if her timing was a little off this evening and her song choice wasn’t that popular with the judges.
Blake Lewis - Blake puts his own style to everything he sings and he took the Zombies tune Time Of The Season and made it rock. Blake is one talented guy and will surely get some recognition in the music industry if he doesn’t win American Idol. I just love to see what Blake comes up with every week.
Lakisha Jones - Lakisha was wearing a million dollars worth of diamonds tonight and looked fantastic. She sang Diamonds Are Forever and it was awesome and once again Simon made an ass out of himself with ignorant comments. I think that’s Simon’s official job.
Phil Stacey - I don’t get good vibes when I see Phil perform. I have to say it again, he just looks out of place and uptight when he’s on stage. His rendition of Tobacco Road was as unnatural as ever. He does have some talent, but it’s not really up to American Idol standards.
Jordin Sparks - I can’t really think of enough superlatives to describe Jordin’s performance tonight. She was incredible. I Who Have Nothing is a depressing song, but Jordin did it well. She’s in the top 3 for sure.
Sanjaya Malakar - Sanjaya finally put on a good performance tonight and for the first time earned the right to come back next week. His rendition of the Kinks, You really Got Me was a great choice. He was so out of character on the show this evening it was like he was a new person. While I don’t think the vocals were that good, his overall performance was very good. And with the little girl in the audience that was crying, I think we found out who Sanjaya’s real fan base is. It’s the Teeny Boppers.
Gina Glocksen - Paint It Black by the Stones was Gina’s song choice and she did it justice. I think it was classic Gina although it was a bit manic at times, I thought she did well.
Chris Sligh - Chubby Guy did great tonight with his Zombies tune, She’s Not There. It was classic Chris and the judges, including Simon liked it. Chris will certainly be back next week.
Melinda Doolittle - If Melinda Doolittle doesn’t win American Idol this season, the Earth will spiral into the sun and life will end as we know it. Well, it won’t be that bad, but while the show and the contestants were great tonight, Melinda really is in a league of her own. What else can I say?
I want to congratulate every one of the contestants on Idol for stepping it up tonight and giving us some great performances. I had my doubts about this season, but that changed with what we saw for the last 2 hours. Hopefully it will continue.
Who’s going home tomorrow night? What’s the prediction? That would be Phil Stacey. See ya!
