In less than 4 hours we’re back on track and get to witness what’s mostly already taken place, possibly as far back as August of last year. No matter, it’s going to be great to watch American Idol Season 6 and see some people make complete asses of themselves and for us to try and pick out who you think may be in the top 12 or even win.

The cities American Idol held auditions in were Los Angeles, San Antonio, East Rutherford, Birmingham, Memphis, Minneaplois and Seattle all of which have been completed. I don’t know if they will show us the auditions in that order, but AmericanIdol.com says they are starting in Los Angeles (The home of Season 5 runner up Katharine McPhee) this evening.

The first few shows are always the best because we get to see the really funny and sad people that have no chance of being on Idol. I find it fascinating that no one has told some of these people how weird they truly are. Do you sit in front of your TV feeling embarrassed for people you don’t even know? I certainly do.

I’m glad the same judges, Randy, Paula and Simon are back because they each bring their unique personality to the show and make Idol what it is. Paula Abdul is so gracious even when the contestants are really bad and Simon Cowell is derogatory at times even when the contestants are great. And of course Randy Jackson is just plain cool and is always looking to build a new Dawg Pound. They all put together a great package.

Pour yourself a drink, pop open a tall boy, grab a bag of chips and dip and get ready for American Idol.
